McQuaid Engineering Ltd manufacture a fully certified range of Mechanical Scissor & Hydraulic Block Grabs designed to to carry all types and sizes of kerbs, bricks & blocks. The grabs can be attached to forklifts, telehandlers, cranes and excavators. Mechanical Scissor Block Grab Our range of Mechanical Scissor Block Grabs includes 3 models, GT15 is designed to lift half bale/44 blocks, GT30 is designed to lift full bale/88 blocks and the GT30 UNI is designed to lift either a half bale or full bale. Depending on your size of bale all our grabs can be customised to suit the load. By design our block grabs have a semi automatic gear system (guard protected) that alternates to engage and release loads with limited manual handling. Also they have large rollers that ensure the grab locates/centres on the pack or bale on every lift. Hydraulic Block Grabs Our range of hydraulic block grabs are designed for use on telehandlers & forklifts to handle kerbs, bricks and blocks. The grab consisits of two pairs of hinged legs which open and close fully under the action of hydraulic cylinders. The grab may be used to lift full or part bales/packs of both brick & blocks and also kerbs and slabs. By design the grabs have twin heavy duty cylinder powered jaws that ensure firm grip of load. Our hydraulic grabs can be supplied with either a teleframe attachment or pallet forlk attachment. Hydraulic Crane Grabs Our hydraulic crane grab is designed for lorry-mounted cranes. As standard this grab features 360 degree continuous hydraulic rotation. By design the grab has a Y-bracket linkage which is fixed to the attachment point on the end of the crane jib. The linkage is custom manufactured to suit the particular model of crane. |
